K.P. Inter College was originally established in 1872 in the Bahadurganj locality with humble beginnings, comprising just two rooms. The present site was acquired in 1920 and fully developed by 1933. The college owes its foundation to the esteemed Munshi Kali Prasad, a visionary who selflessly dedicated all his resources to uplift the poor and the underprivileged.
The Manager of the school also serves as the President of the K.P. Trust, which oversees the management of K.P. College and several other prominent schools and colleges.
The college campus is located in the upscale locality of George Town, along the Mahatma Gandhi Marg. Surrounded by lush greenery, it features an expansive, beautifully landscaped garden and a majestic building that stands as a hallmark of educational excellence. The school building, a distinguished architectural marvel among inter-colleges in Uttar Pradesh, comprises three significant structures:
1. The Main Building: This houses the Principal’s office, the main staff room, and classrooms for students from Class VI to Intermediate (Arts and Commerce). 2. The Science Block: This building contains fully-equipped Physics, Chemistry, and Biology laboratories, along with their respective lecture theaters. 3. The New Building: Dedicated primarily to Intermediate classes, it caters to the Science stream.
Together, these structures form a grand educational complex, providing an exceptional learning environment and upholding the rich legacy of K.P. Inter College
