In the 18th century, Munshi Kali Prasad, born in 1840 in Jaunpur, dedicated himself to education during India's independence movement. Despite his wealth and fame from a successful career, he and his wife had no children. He decided to donate all his property to educate children across India. Inspired by his friend Munshi Muralidhar, he founded Kayastha Pathshala in 1873 with just seven students. He registered it as a committee in 1886 to ensure its continuation. Unfortunately, he passed away at the age of 45, but left a will entrusting his estate to Kayastha Pathshala, Prayag, ensuring his dream of education lived on.
